香港民意研究所（香港民研）在去年六月啟動「一國兩制 25 周年中期民情總結」，至今已發表 了 24 次數據總結，餘下最後一次將於今個月底完成。香港民研為一國兩制前半的發展，留下 歷史數據的任務便會完成。一如以往，民研今年已經開展了年中大檢討，與時並進。初步決定， 在七月開始民研會加強二次數據的開發和應用，並會進一步深化多媒體公民教育的工作。與此 同時，由於資源有限，民研也會減少自費收集和發放原始數據的工作，盡量貼近社會對該等數 據的需求。具體來說，民研在未來的公布會更頻繁使用二次數據的分析，更好運用三十多年來 收集的數據。此外，民研將會大幅減少某些調查系列的數據收集頻率，並會調整數據發布方式， 即某些調查系列可能只會用作學術研究、內部參考和付費服務，不作公開發表。香港民研會繼 續堅守五四精神，服務社會，詳情有待公布。
Hong Kong Public Opinion Research Institute (HKPORI) launched the “One Country Two Systems 25-year Mid-term Review” in June last year. Since then, 24 wrap ups of data have been released, and the last one will be completed by end of this month. HKPORI’s mission to preserve the historical data of the first half of “one country, two systems” will then complete. As usual, HKPORI has already started this year’s mid-year review to keep up with the times. Initially, we have decided starting this July, we will strengthen the development and application of secondary data, and to further step up our multi-media civic education efforts. At the same time, due to resource constraints, we will also reduce our self-funded activities in collecting and releasing primary data in order to keep pace with the public demand for such data. Specifically, HKPORI will use secondary data analysis more frequently in future releases and make better use of the data collected over the past 30 years or so. In addition, HKPORI will significantly reduce the frequency of data collection for certain survey series and will adjust the format of releases. That is, certain survey series may only be used for academic studies, internal reference and paid services, but not for public release. HKPORI will continue to uphold the spirit of May Fourth and serve the community, more details will be announced in due course.
